In honor of our first member Allyson Mihalko, here is her ancestor George O'Neill. Evidently George, the son of Thomas and Kate O'Neill and my great-uncle, was the adventuresome sort, for he left sleepy little Summerfield, OH, and moved to the wilderness of Montrose, CO.
George was one of those new-fangled "electricians." He was married to Rebecca Urban and died in Montrose in 1946.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I obviously never met him but have learned so much about him, through you. I do remember my Great-Grandmother O'Neill (Rebecca Urban). She was always making sure that I had attended church on Sunday! Thanks so much for all of the effort you have put into researching our family history!
